Light for the World

Light for the World

By

John 1:5: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

We are living in the dark world. Apostle John did his best to sum up the climax from the time of creation to the time of Savior’s first coming. (John 1:1-8). The climax of Christ’s second coming is rising in its higher level as well as happening of prophetic signs and signals that are alerting this Christ-Rejected generation without any excuse. This sinful and spiritually blind world is now heading towards opening of final Judgment era of God.  And bible is characterizing this coming time with the time of darkness.  John clearly tells us that Savior is the Word of God, Real God, creator and true light. Someone said: “When Light comes, darkness disappears.” Jesus Christ is the light that shines in the darkness to overcome every kind of Darkness.

1-    To overcome Darkness of Disobedience:

Because of historic act of disobedience of our first parents mankind fell into total absence of light. In Ephesian 2:2 apostle Paul tells about the children of disobedience:

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience”.
We have been residing in the dark and gloomy world for the last six thousand years. This darkness is covering this planet earth at its full speed.

2-    To Overcome Darkness of Sin:

While the consequences of our first parent sins are many the evil powers, wickedness and iniquity are growing signs of spiritual darkness.  Our planet earth will remain dark if there is no Gospel Story. God Father sent His heavenly light into this world in the incarnated form of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. (John 3:16). Spiritual darkness is the enemy of every human being. It separates people from eternity, heaven and God. Jesus came as true light to destroy this darkness. Prophet Isaiah said:

“The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.” (Isaiah 9:2).

Lord defeated this darkness on the cross of cavalry. Satan (Prince of darkness) is an architect of his Kingdom.

Charles Spurgeon said “The wages of sin is death.” And they are works of darkness, too, because they tend to further darkness—the man who pursues them goes from blackness to a deeper blackness—and in the end his portion will be darkness unbroken by a ray of hope, “the blackness of darkness forever.”

3-    To Overcome Darkness of Evil Works:

He designs, spread and promotes works of darkness in the lives of men and women. What are these "works of darkness" which we must avoid? Some of these works are enumerated in Romans 13:12-13. "Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying." A Christian is thus to "cast off" all such works of darkness from his or her own life, to "have no fellowship" with those who practice them, and even to openly "reprove them."

Darkness has many names, titles and positions. I am sure that Darkness covers every kind of Sin. Jesus said:

"But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” (Mathew 6:23).

When Scripture talks about darkness usually it is referring to a sinful path. Jesus is the light and Satan is darkness. Spiritually blind are living in darkness. They can’t understand the gospel or biblical things. They can’t see. They are blind and they can’t see that they’re on the path that leads to hell.” But men love darkness rather than light. We can see how Satan attracts people toward his dark world presently which is full of demonic activities.

"This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.”

                                                                                                             (John 3:19-20).

Lord Holy Spirit awakes each believer against fleshly desires. Satan is gaining so much control on souls through these activities and desires.

4-    To Overcome Darkness of Demonic Possession:

Paul preached that Jesus came:

“To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” (Acts 26:18).

Satan sends thoughts of darkness in the minds of people so they can handover their bodies for sexual, immoral and strange addictions. In reward Satan brings sickness.

While Christians are passing through the last days of grace era satanic activity will increase day by day to grab unsaved souls.

5-    To Overcome Darkness of False Religion:

However, through Blood of Jesus Christ we can overcome upon the power of darkness. The people who are completely filled with darkness are unable to see the flowing results of God’s redemptive plan. The Bible says:

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them”-

                                                                                                                             (2.Corinthians 4:4).

That’s why God sent His son Jesus Christ to redeem people from this overcoming darkness. God is light and in Him there is no darkness. Darkness represents evil ways. The unseen forces of darkness are working actively to mislead and deceive millions of souls on this planet earth. There is only one way to come out of this darkness and it is a free offer to accept Jesus as your personal Savior and Lord. Religion, ceremonies and practices cannot save you.

6-    To Overcome the Darkness of World:

Jesus said:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).

This world is full of worries, tribulation and men centered things. Apostle John in his letters advised believers that they should not love this world.

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” (1-John 2:15).

This world completely lacks love of Father.

7-    To Overcome Darkness of Hell:

Darkness is swallowing souls in the depths of grave and hell. The darkness created by our Lord was for to realize the timings of day and night is temporary. But the darkness comes through Sin of Adam and every sin will not end until someone accepts Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior. Hell is a place for Christ-Rejected world.

In darkness a man does not know where to go. So nowadays you can see uncountable souls are falling away from God in their sins.

If anyone wants to come out of his/her sins then there is only one solution, source of salvation.

When we remember and celebrate Christ’s birthday on this earth we also need to celebrate what He has already completed on the Cross. The Christmas, resurrection feast should be a celebration of eternal victory.

Still if you are alive then you have an opportunity to access eternal benefits from God’s free offer of Salvation through His Son. If you are facing challenge of losing your family, financial loss, unloving attitude of life partner, discouragement, fleshly desire, sinful thoughts, rejection and any kind of thing which is connected with such darkness then it is now time to allow true light in your life. In His light you will experience victory to continue your Journey from this world to everlasting Kingdom.

8-    To overcome Darkness of idleness for Christ’s return:

For Christians time of darkness is going to end because God Father destined them to spend eternity in Heaven in the eternal fellowship with Holy Trinity, Saints of Old and New Testament and Large Army of God of Israel. Before tribulation period and rise of World’s Last Government in which Anti-Christ, Son of perdition will reign on this planet earth for last seven years of Human History.

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”

                                                                                                                        (Romans 13:12).

Night represents time spent by Church and Lord’s people on this planet earth. And Day represents the time that will be spent on heaven. The Lord is going to open the portal through which He will provide glorious bodies to his people.

9-    To Overcome Darkness of Fear of Death:

Worldly people, Satan and his minions can instill fear in our lives. Lord advised us:

“And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

                                                                                                  (Mathew 10:28).

Lord also warned us to overcome on every fear. And the major fear which can harm us from every side is fear of physical death. Praise the Lord that He already completed Work of redemption on the Cross and now calling us to walk in His Victory until we experience separation of our body and spirit. Jesus says:

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

                                                                                             (Revelation 1:18).

Jesus overcame on Physical death and has final authority to raise the dead.

Jesus is the true light which reflects colors of redemption, Everlasting Covenant, holiness, purity and Third Heaven.

Wish you all a very blessed Christmas!

Love to all,

Rev.Evangelist Anil and Jamila
